Miami County FOP Lodge 58 Shop with a Cop will be held at Meijer's in Troy on Friday December 12th. from 1900 -2000 hours. At the conclusion we will go to the lodge building and wrap the presents. Pizza and beverages will be provided by the lodge. We encourage all lodge members, in uniform if possible, to be at Meijer's to assist. Spouses or significant others are invited and encouraged to attend as well.

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

 

As you know, the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio has its own charity, the Critical Incident Response Foundation that provides for peer counseling for first responders who are subjected to critical incident stress.  This program literally saves the lives and/or careers of our brothers and sisters in law enforcement. 

 

This program is funded through a combination of your dues and grant funding.  In an effort to prepare for the day that the grant funding is no longer available (as we all know it will not be forever) the FOP of Ohio is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Critical Incident Response Foundation Golf Outing.

 

Please join your friends at the Foxfire Golf Club in suburban Columbus on August 4th.  You will get to play on a great course, have a great meal, you will get to have a great time and the whole while….you will get to support a very important cause. 

 

If you are not a golfer, you can support OUR charity by locating some door prizes and/or raffle prizes.  You can also support OUR charity by locating Hole Sponsors.  Our Hole Sponsors from last year are listed below:

Deputy Adam Klutz was shot and killed while responding to a 911 hangup call on Fox Winkler Road. Deputy Klutz was the first deputy on the scene and was shot as he exited his patrol car. He was transported to Caldwell Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A second deputy who arrived a short time later was shot in the chest several times and wounded as he also exited his patrol car. His bullet proof vest saved his life. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.

Deputy Klutz had served with the agency for one and a half years. He had previously worked at the Caldwell Detention Center for approximately one year. He is survived by his parents.
